The local conditions
The expedition will be done in totally autonomous conditions and camp will have to be set up every day.
Tents, food and camping equipment will be transported by the members of the team. This is done with the help of a snow sled called a “pulka” that the skiers will have to pull during the whole day.

As for weather conditions, in spring, temperatures vary between -5°C during the day and -40°C at night.

Lighting conditions are also very changing.From the 1st of April onwards, on average, an extra half an hour of light can be noticed every day. Night completely disappears around the 19th of april.
